Earlier this month on 11th September 2017, a dam burst in the Xieng Khouang province of Laos, instantly sending flash flood waters into a valley full of workers.
It was an absolute mayhem, which left people screaming and scrambling for their lives as the violent rapids began to consume the area – crating an unforgiving brown-water river.
Some tried to hop in their vehicles and drive to safety, unsuccessfully. Others attempted to make a run for it by foot.
The dam itself was still under construction (since 2015) and was 85% completed before the rupture.
